Previous Events

FYPCSH hosted a family day for the participents of the core group. It was a land based event focusing on the young people teaching their families about the equipment and water safety. We even had a boat rigging competition and a rowing relay race!

We have previously combined Hamiltonhill Claypits Local Nature Reserve to join them on their litter picking expedition. 

This led to us getting funding for more litter picking equipment that can be used to reach litter in the waterway.

We have held Easter and Christmas party events which have included Easter egg hunts, Christmas themed races and games, and lots of refreshments including home baking!

Although we are a non-competitive club, 3 core group members were supported to attend the championships for their first rowing competition. They did very well to compete with great effort and enthusiasm, and they reported really enjoying the event

We collaborated with the Springburn Men's Shed and Partick Thistle Charitable trust to build a wooden Glide shift.

We recieved funding from Glasgow Clan's Community Fund to take a selection of young people and their families to an ice hockey game as part of the Elite Hockey League at the Braehead Ice Arena for free., which was a huge success!
